After years of waiting WETA WORKSHOP has let us in. The WETA Cave shop is open. As part of the full day Rover Ring Tour we will call into the WETA CAVE as part of our morning tea stop. The WETA Cave shop is a small room in the Weta workshop facitily right in the middle of Wellywood.
The WETA CAVE is made up of a mini-museum, theatre and shop.
The WETA Cave screens a first-ever behind-the-scenes look at Weta and interviews with Weta co-founders Peter Jackson, Richard Taylor, Tania Rodger and Jamie Selkirk. We give you exclusive insight into the creativity and imagination that goes into crafting the art of Weta.
In the mini-museam, you come face to face with some of the characters, props and displays from your favourite movies. Read the stories of how they were brought to life and learn about the artists who created them.
You may also purchase from a wide range of Weta related movie and TV merchandise in the shop. These include:
